Hello

We are deploying Windows 10 2004 using Autopilot. We have an Autopilot deployment profile configured which hides the Privacy OOBE.

Everytime windows is deployed it shows 7 pages of the Privacy options, not matter what we do. I do not want these to appear. These pages are the following:

The ESP is configured. I have Windows 10 Device Configuration poliy configured to block the Privacy experience. This has been assigned to All device, All users and currently assigned to both.

How can I stop these pages from apearing using Autopilot and Intune (or MEM as it is now called).

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks

@Richard Hobbs , Thanks for the reply. I am glad that we find the cause.

For the setting under Device restrictions / Cloud and Storage / Microsoft Account sign-in assistant, if we set the policy to "disabled", it will disable the Microsoft Sign-in Assistant service (wlidsvc) which is required by Windows Autopilot to obtain the Windows Autopilot profile. That will causes the privacy setting in Autopilot profile not applied. So we didn't see the privacy setting hidden although we configured it in Autopilot profile. Here is an article list some conflict policy with Windows Autopilot, we can read it as a reference:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/autopilot/policy-conflicts

    Hope it can help.

    Hello @Crystal-MSFT

This is a test M365 nvironment that we are using to demo Autopilot to a customer. At the moment we only have 4 windows devices in it and it affected all of them. Two of the devices are 2004 and I believe the other two devices were 1909.

I can confirm that the devices have an Autopilot profile assigned to them (apologies it is not allowing me to upload an image - it just stays on upload page).

I have done some troubleshooting on this issues and have found that if we remove all baseline policies and device configuration polices it then hides the Privacy OOBE as expected. We have now narrowed down the problemto the following policy:

    • Devices > Configuration Profiles > Device Restrictions > Windows 10 and later > Cloud and Storage
    • Microsoft Account Sign-In Assistant - disabled

If we have this setting set to 'disabled' the Privacy OOBE always appear no matter what. If we set this setting to 'not configured' then the Privacy OOBE are hidden as expected.

I assume this is a bug of some sorts but it would be good if you could confirm you also find this.

    Thanks
    Richard
