Provider Tokens are deprecated after migrating to file-based authentication on Azure App Services (WEBSITE_AUTH_HIDE_DEPRECATED_SID is ignored)

Hello, I recently migrated to file-based authentication on Azure App Services (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/app-service-authentication-how-to).

I made it work but I'm back to providers tokens with « ver: 3 », those with the id and the stable_id that we do not support for years now.

It seems as if the WEBSITE_AUTH_HIDE_DEPRECATED_SID (which is used to stabilize id and switch to version 4 of the tokens). Would you happen to have any information about this? It's blocking to use OpenId and support Apple Signin.

Welcome to the Q&A platform and thanks for posting your question here. I've heard from the product group and have identified this as a gap. Unfortunately, there aren't any workarounds. But there is a work item to address this gap in an upcoming release. I'll keep you posted on when you can try it out.
