I’m about to replace our POP3 mail server by Exchange365.

Some shared mailbox user need to keep the POP3 functionality where each one have his own copy of the inbox and decide when they delete an email.

I know I can access exchange server with POP3, but was wondering if there is another way to do the trick as POP3 will involve manual configuration.

Thanks

Theres nothing natively in 365 that will allow you to delete a message in a mailbox but keep it for other clients. You will need to use IMAP/POP as you already have and download the message locally and handle this at the client level

I’m looking at another option: I restricted the shared mailbox to POP3 only in Exchange online and users can add these boxes with their own password.

I noticed that on the Android, Outlook can attach these box without manual POP parameters while in Outlook 2016 I had to provides them (server name, ports ect.)

I’m guessing it might be related to autodiscover so is there a way to tweak autodiscover in Exchange Onlie to get this to run smoothly?
