We are working on rolling out SCCM/MEMCM in our environment and are having trouble getting the client installed on Windows 7 computers. We have already purchased extended support for Win7. Does anyone know how to install the SCCM/MEMCM (current branch) client on Win7?

We have already purchased extended support for Win7

I doubt this statement as this is not an actual offering; thus I assume that you've purchased Extended Security Updates (ESUs) which is not support in any way as all Win 7 support ended one year ago.

Having said that, we have not in any way explicitly stopped the ConfigMgr client agent from installing on Win 7 systems and to my knowledge, this does still work fine and many orgs (unfortunately) are still managing their remaining Win 7 systems successfully with ConfigMgr.

Without any technical details though, nothing more can be said here. Specifically, have you reviewed the ccmsetup.log on the systems having an issue?

    Yes. ESU, sorry.

So, just to re-enforce, Win 7 is a completely unsupported product. AT some point, things will begin to start breaking simply because we no longer account for its functionality.

Nothing can be said for the out of context log lines though as single lines are generally meaningless for troubleshooting.

    "OS is not Win10RS3+, ENDOK."

This is completely normal and not indicative of anything specific.

"CcmSetup failed with error code 0x80004005"

Without seeing the entire log with this line in context as noted, this is also meaningless other than it indicates a fatal error occurred.
