Hello everybody,

I want to make an evaluation on AOVPN and am concerned with the question, if AOVPN is an adequate solution, to give external partners access to specific network ressources.

At the moment, my impression for AOVPN is, that a seamless working experience for internal users can be provided, not regarding, if the user is internal or external.

    Hi ,

Always On VPN, as the name tell, VPN is “always active”. In fact, a secure corporate network connection is established automatically whenever an authorized client has Internet connectivity, all without requiring user input or interaction, unless a multi-factor authentication mechanism is enabled. Remote users access business data and applications in the same way, just as if they were in the workplace.

Always On VPN connections include the following types of tunnels:

    • Device Tunnel: the device connects to the VPN server before users log on to the device.
    • User Tunnel: it activates only after users have logged on to the device.

    For your reference:

    Best Regards,

    Candy

I would say that it all depends, what security requirements you would set to your Windows Server VPN Server. For more secure vpn protocols, AD and certificates become requirement.
