portmon - instant crash on Windows XP (32-bit)

It's not running from a network drive and the user is an administrator. How can I diagnose/fix?

    I was able to run it on a VM..

    I'm using latest version available.. 3.03

    But it is many year that this is not updated..

    To troubleshoot.. the usual tools.. Procmon and procdump.. take a trace with procmon and take a dump with procdump.
