    I like to point out that I know nothing about SCOM. However, I know how to use Google, and entered this search string: use sql server 2019 with SCOM 2016. On the top, I found a link to Microsoft documentation and inside this document I found: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/scom/plan-sqlserver-design?view=sc-om-2019#sql-server-requirements

    I also know how to use Google. And this answer applies to SCOM 2019 and not SCOM 2016.
    If you choose SCOM 2016 at the top right, you will not find SQL 2019 as supported version.
    That is why I asked..

    Hi,

    As far as I know, this is not supported. To use sql2019, we need scom2019.

    SQL 2019 is not on supported list of SCOM 2016
    SCOM supports following SQL server
    i) SQL Server 2016
    ii) SQL Server 2014
    iii) SQL Server 2012

    SQL 2019 only supports SCOM 2019.
