DFS-R removing and re-adding DFS-R member server

DFS-R setup:
Using DFS-Replication and not using DFS-Namespace
File server A (2012) and server B (2019) in the replication group and are in the same physical location. They are also DCs, just an FYI.
File server A was the primary member
Topology is Full Mesh
Multipurpose Replication group
The data size is about 1 TB.

Server A crashed and so was down for a few weeks.
During the downtime, I have disabled the DFS replication schedule.

Server A is now back online (the data partition had to be rebuilt so starting from fresh with no data) and I did the pre-seed robocopy from Server B to Server A to repopulate the data.

Next step, I'm planning to remove server A in DFS management and re-add it (the hostname will be the same as before) in DFS management and enable the replication.

Do I need to do anything else such as deleting all the DFSR private folders on server B?

    Hi,

Based on my understanding , Private folder will clear the old ones once exceed the quota defined.
We don't need to clear it manually.
For the contents in the deleted and conflict folder, if want , you can clear them to release some space.

    Best Regards,
