We have an internal site (need to be sign on). We set "anonymous" to be disable in IIS. We cannot use "SharePoint Designer" to connect to the site because we go an error as KB2758431 descripted. Because we need to set "anonymous" to be disable to protect our data. Is there a work around for this? Please advise. Many thanks.

    Hi @Er Bo Guan ,

Currenlty there is no workaround for this.

As a supplement, after enabling anonymous authentication in IIS, we will not be able to access the site anonymously before configuring the anonymous access at the web application level and site level, so it will still protect your data.

We thought this before. However, my supervisor think we will do lot modification in the future. He wants to see if any work aground. Since MS set up that way for the current version, we have to follow. Thanks for your response.
