IIS App Pool Virtual Memory drastically increase when generate report using Crystal Report

Hi All,

We have developed ASP.net web application and deployed in IIS with 32bit enabled. We are getting Out of memory issue when generate the crystal report. The memory is not releasing after the report as well. We have analyzed the code and used GC.Collect() in the required places and released memory as well but still the app pool virtual memory is not releasing.

Please advise me.

If you read a little more on how generational GC works internally, you will see why GC.Collect() won't help much. Try to follow the troubleshooting guide, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/aspnet/troubleshoot-outofmemoryexception or simply switch to 64 bit to give the process more memory space.
