Windows Search on RDS with FSlogix.

Question

Hi. We use Terminal Server and FS Logix. Windows Server 2019.

We do not use Outlook caching(Office 2019 pro)

• Search service is disabled by default. Should I turn it on?
  Am I going to have a performance problem? What should I do?
• Or I will ask the question differently. Should I use this service or is it unnecessary with FSlogix?
• If you need to enable, what settings are required?

1.Search service is disabled by default. Should I turn it on?

"FSLogix search functionality is not compatible with Server 2019, Windows 10 multi-session, and subsequent multi-session operating systems with enhanced native search capabilities"
From this, it seems the answer is no.

2.Am I going to have a performance problem? What should I do?

"Reindexing has significant impact on CPU when a user logs on. Typically, Search is disabled in environments where users roam between computers to avoid CPU impact."

3."Should I use this service or is it unnecessary with Fslogix ?"
We can keep disabling search service, using Fslogix search functionality for Single-user roaming search or Multi-user roaming search.

RoamSearch should not be enabled in these environments.

RoamSearch Disabled.

Outlook search does not work. The search service is disabled. What should I do next ?

After turning on the search service, the terminal server services began to turn off after a day.

I was getting a lot of errors

Timeout (30,000 ms) while waiting for a transaction from the "SystemEventsBroker" service.
Timeout (30,000 ms) while waiting for a transaction from the "BrokerInfrastructure" service.
Timeout (30,000 ms) while waiting for a transaction from the "DcomLaunch" service.

Can't figure out what the problem is.

After disabling the search service, the terminal server works stably, without errors.
