How to configure sync for a sharepoint team site by policy

Hello,
Is there any way in order to set a sync configuration for a sharepoint team site for several users may be using group policies or something like that?
I know that is possible to do it manually by the web explorer and choosing the sync option, but is there any way in order to distribute this configuration for a hole department?
