Hello,

I am currently trying to have SharePoint filter views based on the Responsible Party (ie. Emily Se (emailyse@Job .org)), For some reason, when I input Emily into the filter, it shows that there are no files that match when I know that there is one. This made me wonder if there is some kind of specific formatting for it since I know [Me] works.

I have tried:
Emily
Emily Se
emailyse@Job .org
[Emily]
[Emily Se]
[emailyse@Job .org]

Note: Stange enough, it doesn't work if I put my own name into the filter - why does only [Me] seem to work?
(Test file is placed outside of folder, so it should have appeared)

    Hi @icequeen ,

Per my test, I can filter view based on column with user name. Did you create Responsible Party column with “person or group” column? If Responsible Party column is “person or group” column, which field did you select in the column? “Name” or “E-Mail”?

As a workaround, you could use Current User Filter web part to display items or files based on user name in classic SharePoint online.

    1.Return to classic SharePoint
    2.Settings > Edit page > Add a Web part > Filters > Current User Filter > Add

3.Edit Web Part > Filter > Select value to provide > SharePoint profile value for current user > select Name in drop down menu > ok

4.Connections > Send Filter Value To > your list or document
    110580-4.png
5.Select “Get Filter Values Form” > Configure
    110634-5.png
6.Select column you want to filter by > Finish

With Current User Filter web part we can configure any User Profile property to be used as filter.

    Hello @CaseyYang-MSFT ,

Yes, I believe that it is the "Person or Group" type and I think it is the "Email" category. I would prefer if I can create a view for the "Responsible Party" as it will easily pull up the contracts under one's names (even if they are in nested folders).
