server ent 2016 max disk size

Hi ;

iv got vmware 6.5esxi with MSSQL2016ENT in a always on configuration.

data on disk is approaching 2TB .NTFS.

can i increase it over 2TB???win os side?thanks

would i have to change protocol to GPT?

is it gone effect my performance?

    Welcome to our new Microsoft Q&A Platform.

    The MBR limit is 2^32 sectors. Given the common 512-byte sector sizes, the limit is 512 * 2^32 bytes, which works out to 2 TB.

    If you want to use the larger disk, you should use GPT disk.
