I have connected the CosmosDB which is in another subscription. I am able to connect the CosmosDB as a Linked service in Synapse Workspace but unable to see any containers. Is there any settings I must check.
On the other hand I am unable to execute T-SQL query. It is resulting in error: Resolving CosmosDB path has failed with error 'This request is not authorized to perform this operation.'.
Please help me. Thank you for the support.

II tried using below article and was able to successfully see the container belong to a database in Azure Cosmos Account SQL API.

If possible, could you please share the screenshot of synapse studio and linked service? Also please provide the screenshot of error message as well.

Hi @AnuragSharma-MSFT , I tried to run the query for another db and container but getting the same error: "This request is not authorized to perform this operation"
Hi @AnuragSharma-MSFT I am using a Free trail of Azure and the cosmosDB is under different subscription.
From the error message it looks like this is access issue. Can you please check if your cosmos account, synapse workspace and storage account have firewall configured to allow connections. Also please check if Access Control is configured as per below article.

I received similar error when I blocked all networks to access Azure Cosmos DB "Resolving CosmosDB path has failed with error 'Access to the database account 'xxxxxxx' is forbidden.'."

@AnuragSharma-MSFT - I am getting the same error. I don't see any firewall restrictions as well.
Hi @AnuragSharma-MSFT, the error does not say forbidden.
MAIN ISSUE:
I want to know if I can see the containers while using the Copy Data tool so why I cannot see them under Linked Service in Synapse Workspace.
Sorry for replying late. Could you please let me know if you followed the same article that I mentioned above? Also if possible for you to try both the resource in same subscription ?
@AnuragSharma-MSFT - In my case the issue was because synapse and cosmos was on different regions

Cross tennat access isn't supported in the Linked Service tree view. You can query it, but you won't see the containers.
