No module (_speech_py_impl) found error in python azure functions, could not install

1 Logged in using ssh, navigated to /home/site/wwwroot/functionname - Installed modules but the same error

2 Logged in using bash, navigated to /home/site/wwwroot/ - Could not find the function name

3 Read an article which says to create virtual environment in function folder (/home/site/wwwroot/functionname) - It got system exited

Please help to solve this error!

@RaphaelTitus-8603, sorry for the delayed response. Can you please tell me the platform you are using to run your function app? Also can you please confirm if the above mentioned package is present in the requirements.txt of the function app?

Hello Chaitanya - the platform is linux and yes requirements file is used and i have azure-cognitiveservices-speech==1.12.1 in place... No idea what should i add for the error "No module (_speech_py_impl)". Please guide!

@RaphaelTitus-8603 , Looks like some of the speech SDK dependencies are not getting installed as they should be. There is a similar issue already in the backlog of the product team, if possible can you try the workaround mentioned in it.

@ChaitanyaNaykodiMSFT-9638 No, we are not able to solve the issue. Still we get the same issue "No module (_speech_py_impl) found" in Azure VM as well as Azure functions (Linux python).

@ChaitanyaNaykodiMSFT-9638 libasound package is missing at OS Level in both VM and Function app (Linnux).. So i fixed by installing it using (apt-get install libasound2 alsa-utils alsa-oss).. For function apps, am trying to fix using docker containers.. In the progress have not completed it though.

Hello @Raphael Titus , after following up with the support engineer, we understood that using docker containers for function app you were able to install the libasound library and resolve the issue faced. I am just making a comment here to call out the solution and if possible can you shed some light on which Linux plan you utilized? This will help the community if anyone is facing similar issue.

Hello, I also encountered this problem, I wrote software on windows10, on some windows7 systems will report this error.Then I follow the introductory tutorial in windows7 run demo, found also reported this error.The software I wrote on windows7 worked fine again.
So is there any special dependent file for this? If there is any solution, please tell me. Thank you very much.
