Is it possible to install Xamarin without Visual Studio (on windows, linux or mac)?
For my part, I use Rider on my linux desktop for .NET development.

Hi, could you please post more details about the requirement? As lextm said, Xamarin doesn't support to work linux now. And the official document guides the build of the xamarin project are all besed on VisualStudio. It doesn't provide the way to work without vs.
There is no Xamarin SDK yet on Linux, so you won't have it for your current desktop.

No, you cannot work on Xamarin without using VS studio, also linux not support xamarin development
