I am trying to add a mailto link or button to a modern SharePoint online page.
I want such that when the link is clicked, it will launch Microsoft Outlook or the email client.
I have tried using the quick links web part but it is not accepting the link (mailto:myemail@keyman .com).
It seems to be expecting a link that must start with https://
I would like to know if there are other options I can use to achieve my goal.
thanks in advance.

When I type mailto:myemail@keyman .com to create the link in my text, SharePoint starts adding the https:// in front. Just keep typing and then use the backspace to remove SharePoint's addition so you only have mailto:myemail@keyman .com.

    Hi @Zhang, Pan ,

Per my test i tried to add a text web part and insert a hyperlink with ”mailto:myemail@keyman .com“. Like you said one email without a designed form email will be triggered out. And this behaivor is by default. From this vote in user voice, for now there is no available OOTP option to customize email templates.
