NET START command on successfully signed driver results in "Certificate was revoked by its issuer"
I am working on a Windows driver, and have successfully signed and submitted it to the Microsoft Partners portal. After a successful installation, I get the following error message when executing NET START driver-name:
System error 2148204812 has occurred.
A certificate was explicitly revoked by its issuer.
I have downloaded the Certificate Revocation List from both the EV Code certificate from DigiCert and and the signing certificate from Microsoft as specified by the CRL Distribution Points field of the certificates. The serial number of the certificates are not in the downloaded CRL lists. In addition, used the DigiCertUtil application to verify the validity of the DigiCert certificate, and the application showed that the certificate was valid.
Does anyone know why this error message is being displayed? Anything that I am overlooking?
Thanks for your help.
