Been restoring Windows Server 2012 Standard Full backup (Bare metal + 2 logical drives) to Hyper-V virtual machine.

Restores logical drives then gets stuck on "Cleaning up" screen, not sure how to get around this? Been running for 12 hours. I can see that the VHDX file was last edited hours ago so not sure if i can just turn off virtual machine. As the restore has not said Completed successfully nervous to turn off and run into problems down the road.

    Hi,

Could you provide some detailed background of the issue?

Do you run Windows Server Backup to recover the Hyper-V VM? If yes, you could open command prompt as administrator and run wbadmin get status to check the status of the recovery operation that is currently running. If not, please help to describe the performance you've done in detail.

    Best Regards,
    Ian
