Windows 10 Update is downloading Windows 11. Will it automatically install? How do I stop it automatically installing before I can verify that everything on my machine is compatible with Windows 11?
I know I can limit updates using the Group Policy Editor but I want Windows 10 to update for the moment. Surely such a major upgrade should need confirmation to install?

I also did not click that. My device just said there were updates that I needed to restart for. After restart it said "We will get Windows 11 for you!" and started downloading the Windows 11 update. Pretty sketchy if you ask me. Is there any way to stop it?
Here is my update history:
Hello CWL,
No, Windows 11 will not automatically be installed or downloaded in your system. The way it is make available at the moment is through Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for Updates. If available, you'll see "Feature update to Windows 11. Click Download and install." It will only download and install IF YOU click there.
