I have a Ubuntu 20.04 VM with AzureMonitorLinuxAgent installed on it.I dont see Memory Utilized Percentage Metric in the list of Metrics for the namespace azure.vm.linux.guestmetrics .

Any idea as to why the metric for memory percentage is not appearing.

Thanks

    Hi @Pradeep Chandrashekar

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A! Thanks for posting the question.

This may happen mainly because of following two reasons:

    1. Custom platform type was selected when creating the DCR - This provides a pre-curated creation experience common to both the platforms - Windows & Linux. However, "% memory utilized" OR "% memory available" are not available as performance counter. *For more details on counters available, please examine the respective "Data Collection Rules" --> Data Sources --> select the source available --> select custom and search for "memory". *
    2. Memory related counters are disabled in DCR - If you have selected Linux as the platform type when creating the DCR, please ensure that the Data Source for this DCR has memory related counters selected.

    I hope it helps!
