Hello,

I created a shared image gallery with a CentOS 7.8 image definition that I obtained by generalizing a VM in it, then created a pool in Azure Batch that should use this image. When I try to resize the pool the Portal hits me with this:

There was an error encountered while performing the last resize on the pool. Please try resizing the pool again.
Code: AllocationFailed
Message: Desired number of dedicated nodes could not be allocated
Values: n/a

without any further details.

How can I fix this?

Thank you!

    Hi @logicabrity

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q & A Platform .

Unfortunately , The error specifically means a regional capacity of the datacenter.
Suggestions are to retry the operation after a while or use different VM Sizes that succeed or to fallback to other regions which may have capacity.

Hope either of the above resolves your issue and would request you to accept the answer if it works out as well .

    Thanks & Regards,
    Pradeep
