Hello,
I have looked at article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/essentials/metrics-troubleshoot
But have not found an answer to the fact that metrics are not showing up.
By insights I know that data is being collected, and agents are sending. The alerts does work also.
Any thought as to why the metrics is not showing..

I have the same problem, do you have any solution? 
If the metrics are lost, not just an intermitance, is necesary Restart the instance.
Before doing the restart, its recomendable Scale Out to more than one instance and restart only the instance with the problem.
Go to an App Service inside the App Service Plan with the problem > Diagnostic and solve problems > Diagnostic tools > Advanced Application Restart > Chose the Instance and then clic on Restart.
