Reference nuget package from JFrog artifactory in Visual Studio .Net Project

Jfrog artifactory binding throwing "Failed to load" error while trying to pull nuget package in Visual Studio 2017. But I can be able to download same through browser and curl command on GIT bash prompt. Please suggest what I need to do to reference and download it in Visual studio to utilize in any .Net project.

Hi @Ashish Gupta , did you get NuGet package by right-clicking the project > Manage NuGet Packages… > Browse > Install? Is there any detailed error message except "Failed to load"?

[RPAArtifactory] The V2 feed at 'https://artifactory.xyz.com/artifactory/rpa-nuget-local/Search()?$filter=IsAbsoluteLatestVersion&searchTerm=''&targetFramework='net45'&includePrerelease=true&$skip=0&$top=26&semVerLevel=2.0.0' returned an unexpected status code '404 Not Found'.

Hi @Ashish Gupta , is the package source set to nuget.org(https://www.nuget.org/api/v2/), in Tools > Options > NuGet Package Manager > Package Sources? And did you choose nuget.org in NuGet Package Manager?

Hi @Tianyu Sun-MSFT , In current scenario, I am trying to reference JFrog artifactory rather than nuget.org to get the required package. I am following all the steps mentioned in "Set Me Up" dialog box on JFrog artifactory portal for adding package source reference in Visual Studio. I can be able to view all package through browser but in Visual studio throwing errors. Please guide.

Hi @Ashish Gupta , thanks for sharing me the screenshots. The error message mentioned V2, and the V2 protocol may provide slower and less reliable service. I suggest you remove this package source and close VS, reboot your machine, open VS and try to add the package source again or try this steps several times to see whether the error will disappear.

Hi @Tianyu Sun-MSFT , I have tried as suggested to update the package resource and rebooting machine multiple times. It didn't work and getting same error again. Please suggest what other alternative can be tried.

Hi @Ashish Gupta , I think the next thing you can try is modifying the Source(path). You can try to modify it to point to the last folder where the .nupkg file is stored.

When this issue can be isolated to this level (404 on a specific Artifactory URL), you shouldn't bother anyone here to assist but should go straight to Artifactory technical support to learn how to fix that. It might be a simple configuration issue, but only the vendor of Artifactory knows the best.
