I struggle to manage documents in Teams because of the structure - using folders gets messy real quick as you are already 2 levels deep when you create a channel. How are you handling this in your organization?

    Hi

We normally plan project execution in advance splitting all activities into major sections by thematic. Once we deploy a collaboration SharePoint site these become:

    a) bucket in planner
    b) channel in Teams
    c) deliverables folder in SharePoint document library

The most efficient way to manage files then becomes: raw data and processing results are in each thematic/channel's subfolder and delivering the final product into teams channel for discussion and review by team. This way all the subsubfolders (which can be as many levels down as an author would like) contain prerequisites for a deliverable and the channel folder contains end deliverables that are always just a click away if you sync the library to your desktop.
