Ping request could not find host xyz.local. Please check the name and try again

Hi ,

I have a domain xyz.local .

first it was working, Now unable to ping the via domain name. All seems like ok but client are unable to ping the domain name or access the shared sources via name but OK On IP.
while doing nslookup from client machine only showing Public ip and server name not my domian.
Error
Ping request could not find host xyz.local. Please check the name and try again

    Hello @Steph Luke

    I ould recommend to re-register this computers in the DNS system. From an elevated command prompt run:

    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /registerdns

    This will refresh the connection of this machine into the DNS system of your domain.

    Run "ipconfig /all" and verify that all of your machines are using the same DNS servers.

    Run dcdiag and check the health of your domain.

    Probably something you have checked already - is ICMP disabled?
