BracnchCache server reboots corrupt open Excel files

We have Server 2019 hosted branchcache and during weekend patching it corrupts an excel file if it was left open on Windows 10 LTSC. This has been seen fairly consistent.

Any workaround on this besides asking everyone to close their office documents before patching?

    Hello @JT

That is a byproduct of cached data. There is no solution to it, but LTSC seems the right version since it upgrades in years intervals.

Also, you can experience the same with Disk Cache, in the system option Update: There is an option in Windows -> Device Manager -> Disk drives -> MyDiskDrive -> Properties -> Policies -> Enable write caching on the device. This will exactly provide the same corrupted files.

So far there is no solution to this.

Hope this helps with your query,
