Deeplink to Viva Connections Homesite-App (in Teams-App)

Hello,

is there a way to generate a Deeplink to the Viva Connections Home Site App. I already found out that I can call an app like this.

"https://teams.microsoft.com/l/app/d2c6f111-ffad-42a0-b65e-xxxxxxxxx25598aa"

The problem with this method is that after calling up the link, a separate message appears in Teams and i have to click a second time on "Open the app". Also, the link doesn't work on the mobile app.

Is there any solution? Thanks!

How did you create deeplink in Teams client?

I checked this article it shows that you could create deeplink with custom tab. You could get the Viva Connection homesite URL by copying the URL like the following picture:

thanks for your response.
The problem is, i want to generate a link to the App. So when I click the link, the app should open in the left navigation bar. Not in a tab.

In this article, it shows that Creating deep link in Teams tab should launch the browser first before navigating to content. So I am afraid it is an expected behaviour in Teams client.

Use "entity" instead of app in the URL, this did work on our instance.
https://teams.microsoft.com/l/**entity**/d2c6f111-ffad-42a0-b65e-xxxxxxxxx25598aa
