Need to have a personal Azure account with spend limit at the subscription level

Need to have an Azure account with monthly total spend limit. This is to help me test various features and use it as a playground lab without overrunning my personal cost estimate. I know we can setup budget or limit per resource but I am looking for ways to setup spend limits at the subscription level.

Appreciate your guidance.

In Azure Cost Management it's possible to create a budget and alerts (notification) on costs (consumed or/and forecast).

Even in the question, I had mentioned that I am aware of budgets, but I would like to setup a spend limit per subscription that would be a hard stop for a given subscription. This would help us reel in excess spending before it occurs. Budgets, alerts, actual vs budget forecasts these are useful but that is not what I was looking. Azure competitor has a feature akin to this.

Hello @JP - Spending limits can be turned on or off, but you can’t change the limit value per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/spending-limit.

The types of account with spending limits are shown at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/legal/offer-details/ I think for EA, MCA, MOSP, and MS internal subs (all the ones we typically use for testing) don’t support spending limits.
