Hello,

I have had a subscription for several years. My credit card has expired and I received a new one from the same bank.
When I try to pay with the new card I get the message "Your payment was declined by your financial institution".

my banker tells me that they have received (and accepted) the requests to pay 0€ (these requests occur when I enter the card number in order to validate the entry) but they have not received any payment (of 1300€) requests from azure.

what to do ? I'm afraid that azure services cut off.

Hi @ttu Thank you for reaching out to us. Happy to assist!

From the details provided, I learnt that your old credit card expired and you received a new one that you added to your Azure account. However, the payments are declined.

First thing, can you confirm that the new credit card is reflecting in the portal and made it the default payment card?

If yes, and still facing issues with payments, highly recommend contacting Azure billing and subscription management team by raising a support request to look into this issue. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

Here is the link - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case.

FYI: Azure Billing and Subscription Management support is included in the Basic Support Plan without any charge.

@SadiqhAhmed-MSFT We have the same problem!

I checked with my financial institution, and they told me, that the 0€ payment Microsoft is doing to proof the credit card is lower than the actual monthly payment that need to be done. Because of this the payment is declined by the financial institution. This is standard procedure for the Mastercard 3-D Secure.

    Hi, try this

    1. Update Payment Info: Ensure your new card is correctly updated in the Azure portal under Payment methods.
    2. Contact Azure Support: Open a billing support request in Help + Support to investigate why Azure isn't sending the payment request to your bank.
    3. Check with Your Bank: Ensure there are no restrictions on large payments.
    4. Try Another Payment Method: If possible, use a different card temporarily to avoid service disruption.
    5. Monitor Notifications: Azure provides a grace period before cutting off services.
