    Hello,

Same here with VMware Workstation : after this upgrade, Windows server 2022 crashs with this error "Unsupported Processor". Current workaround is to decrease the number of CPU/cores to 1. After this modification, WS start correctly and, if needed, update could be removed.

Hope this reply is helpful ;)

I'd try asking for help over here in dedicated forums.

    . 4. Run sfc /scannow

    1. Run below DISM commands from elevated prompt.

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    1. Download the KB manually and install it.
    2. Update or Re-install VMWare tools on this Windows 2022 VM.

after KB5019959 and 22H2 on windows 10, the same happened. The solution is the same, allocate one processor on virtual machine settings.

Follow up: Tried making a new base VM for my development on Windows Server 2022. Now install will not even proceed with an update ISO image installer from October 2022 [en-us_windows_server_2022_updated_oct_2022_x64_dvd_c5b651c9.iso]. Blue screen out of the gate after initial install. :(
