Okay fellows, need some help. Bear with me as this explanation is kind of long. So I have a windows XP embedded OS 32bit that is installed on an industrial grade milling machine, that needs to be able to print I have the printer installed on a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit computer both the computer and the mill machine are on a standalone network that is not connected to the internet for security reasons as XP is no longer supported. There is no way for me to convince my bosses to update the OS on the xp machine since the machine works perfectly fine as a milling machine and it is not cost effective to update the OS, this is the reason that I removed the mill machine from the domain and put it on a standalone workgroup. The printer is installed on the windows 10 machine and works properly from it it is also shared out and I made sure that the "users" group has full access to the printer. I cannot get the xp machine to connect to the printer it is able to see the windows 10 machine and I can attempt to connect but it asks for credentials to connect I have put in the credentials that I know are correct and it wont connect. I am able to remote into the mill machine from the windows 10 pc through remote desktop protocol and when I go to the printers and faxes section on the control panel of the xp machine via the RDP it shows the printer that is on the windows 10 machine but I am not able to print to it or really do anything with it other than see it. Does anyone have an idea of a workaround on this any help would be greatly appreciated.
