How to: Delete an Alert (SQL Server Management Studio)

This topic describes how to delete Microsoft SQL Server Agent alerts.

To delete an alert

1. In Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, and then expand that instance.

2. Expand SQL Server Agent.

3. Expand Alerts.

4. Right-click an alert, and then click Delete.

5. On the Delete Object dialog box, confirm the deletion.
