LinkedServer.ProviderString Property

Gets or sets the connection string used to connect to a linked server by way of the OLE DB Provider.

A String value that specifies the connection string used to connect to the link server by way of the OLE DB Provider.

Remarks

The connection string is used as an alternative to setting the DataSource and ProviderName properties. Use the ProviderString property when complex connection settings are required. See the OLE DB Provider settings for the particular product and provider for further information about the syntax for the connection string.
