من الشائع للبرامج أن يتيحو للمستخدمين من إلى إدخال التواريخ كسلسلة حرفية. لتحويل التاريخ الذي يكون على شكل سلسلة حرفية إلى كائن System.DateTime يمكنك استخدام الأسلوب Convert.ToDateTime(String) أو الأسلوب الثابت DateTime.Parse كما هو موضح في المثال التالي.
