Configure authentication to Aha!

Important

This feature is in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page. See Manage Azure Databricks previews.

This page shows how to configure Aha! to enable authentication from Azure Databricks for the Aha! connector. After completing the steps on this page, use the credentials you retrieve to create a Unity Catalog connection in Azure Databricks.

Prerequisites

  • An Aha! account with permission to generate a personal API key.
  • The idea_organizations table requires an Aha! Ideas Advanced plan. The other source tables don't require a specific plan.

Configure Aha!

Generate a personal API key in Aha! and note your account subdomain. See Aha! personal developer settings.

  1. Sign in to your Aha! account.
  2. Go to Settings > Personal > Developer.
  3. On the API keys tab, click Generate API key.
  4. Copy the generated API key and store it securely.
  5. Note your account subdomain — the part of your Aha! URL before .aha.io. For example, for https://databricks.aha.io, the subdomain is databricks.

Use the subdomain and the API key to create the connection.
