Configure authentication to Zoho CRM

Important

This feature is in Beta. To use it, a workspace admin must turn on Lakeflow Connect for Zoho CRM from the Previews page. See Manage Azure Databricks previews.

This page shows how to configure Zoho CRM to enable authentication from Azure Databricks for the Zoho CRM connector. Use the credentials you obtain from the steps on this page to create a Unity Catalog connection in Azure Databricks.

Prerequisites

  • A Zoho CRM organization. API access is available in all Zoho CRM editions. API credit and concurrency limits scale with your edition. See Zoho CRM API limits.
  • A Zoho Self Client authorized for the read scopes the connector requires. See Required OAuth permissions.
  • To ingest the territories and user_territories tables, Territory Management must be enabled in Zoho CRM. Territory Management requires Enterprise edition or above.
  • To ingest the currencies table, Multi-Currency must be enabled in Zoho CRM. Multi-Currency requires Professional edition or above.

Configure Zoho CRM

The Zoho CRM connector authenticates with the OAuth client-credentials Self Client flow. In this step, create a Self Client in the Zoho API Console and note the credentials that you enter on the connection page. For more information, see the Zoho Self Client overview and the Zoho client credentials flow.

  1. Sign in to the Zoho API Console with a Zoho CRM user that can read the modules you plan to ingest.
  2. Click Get Started, hover over Self Client, and click Create Now.
  3. Click Create, then click OK.
  4. On the Client Secret tab, note the Client ID and Client Secret. Use these credentials to create a Unity Catalog connection in Azure Databricks.
  5. Note your Zoho CRM organization ID. To find it, click your profile picture in the lower-left corner of Zoho CRM, then click the drop-down next to your organization name. For more information, see User IDs and Org IDs in Zoho CRM.
  6. Note your Zoho data center region code from your Zoho CRM URL. Supported values are com, eu, in, com.au, jp, com.cn, and ca. Enter this value as the Region when you create the connection.
