Web Usage Reports

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

You use the Report Manager to run reports to analyze site usage, referring URLs, and requests for data.

Activity by Browser

Use the Activity by Browser report to review activity by types of browsers used to access the Web site. You use information from this report to examine browser technology trends, which is something to consider for Web development.

The following table lists the measures and database columns that this report uses.

Measure

Note

Your system administrator can use the CSDW_MakeUserAgentDate stored procedure to add operating systems to the Operating System dimension.

Directories

Use the Directories report to determine which of the 1,000 Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) directory levels are the most visited. This report shows activity for the first six levels of URI directories.

If you want to see URIs that provide information other than the 1,000 most active URIs, such as the least active URIs, ask the system administrator to modify the CSDW_MakeAggRequestsByUri stored procedure in the site database.

Top Requested Pages

Use the Top Requested Pages report to review the pages most requested on your site. Review a list of the 1,000 most active pages, including query strings, by number of requests.

This report provides statistics per page. This differs from the Directories report, which provides statistics for all pages in a URL directory.

Note

Even though the top 1,000 pages will always be included in a report, other pages can also be included. This is because the URI dimension includes the top 1,000 entry pages, exit pages, and most requested pages for every site. If you want to see more than the 1,000 most active pages, such as the least active pages, ask the system administrator to modify the CSDW_MakeAggRequestsByUri stored procedure in the Data Warehouse.

The following table lists the measures and database columns that this report uses.
