Onyx font family

Overview

Many fonts look like Onyx, inspired by a font named Stephanie that the Bauer foundry issued in 1870. Onyx began its life in 1937 at the American Type Founders, and this version comes from Monotype Typography. The condensed form of this font, combined with its high-waisted letters and mixture of thick/thin strokes, evokes an elegant, formal charm.
