How can I integrate an existing whiteboard into a whiteboard tab in Teams?

We have an existing Whiteboard which we created directly with the Whiteboard app.

Now we created a team in Teams to coordinate around the new topic and would like to integrate the existing Whiteboard.

When creating a new tab and selecting the Whiteboard app for it, then it seems only new blank whiteboards can be created.

So here is the question: is there a possibility to integrate exsiting Whiteboards into a new team in Teams?

Thanks a lot upfront and best regards,

Alexander

Hey there, my name is Ajibola and I'm excited to help you out today!

Microsoft Teams does not provide a direct way to integrate existing Whiteboards into a new team within Teams. Whiteboard is a separate app that allows users to create and collaborate on digital whiteboards.

However, you can share Whiteboards with members of a team in Teams using a workaround. Here's how you can do it:

    1. Share Whiteboard Link: In the Whiteboard app, find the Whiteboard you want to integrate into a new team. Share the Whiteboard link with the members of the new team by copying the link from the address bar of your browser.
    2. Add as Tab: In the Microsoft Teams channel where you want to integrate the Whiteboard, add a new tab by clicking the "+" icon. Choose the "Website" option and paste the Whiteboard link you copied earlier.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to ask. I'm here to help!
