Outlook Kalender über Android App synchronisiert nicht

Hallo,

besten Dank

    Hi, Alex Hammer1

Thanks for your updates and patience.

After consulting with our team's leader. Based on the information provided, it appears the core issue is related to the account type (IMAP/POP) you’re using. Unfortunately, IMAP and POP accounts do not support calendar synchronization through the Outlook mobile app because they are designed only for email syncing. The "Sync Calendar" option is grayed out because this feature requires an account type that supports calendar data, such as Exchange ActiveSync, Microsoft 365, or Outlook.com accounts.

Thank you for your precious time and your understanding would be highly appreciated.

    Hope you all the best!

    Hello,

    • I'm using a third party email account with personalized domain.
    • regarding 1), I did not have the option to set up the email account as "exchange", since IMAP and POP3 were the only options I was presented with
    • regarding 2), this is exactly the problem that I cannot enable the sync calendar option since it's greyed out, and enabling contacts and calendar in the android settings for the outlook app did not change the greyed out option
    • regarding 3-7), those I had already tried before posting my initial query and all of these did not work solving my problem

    regards

    Hi, Alex Hammer1

    Good day!

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist you!

According to your description, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Outlook calendar sync on your Android devices.

First of all, before we troubleshoot this issue, would you please allow us to collect some detailed information as below:

    • Are you using a Microsoft 365 business account(@xxx.onmicrosoft.com/@yourdomain.com) or a personal account (ending in outlook.com/hotmail.com/live.com/msn.com) or another third-party POP/IMAP account?

If you're using an Office 365 for business account(exchange), would you please try following steps and see if it can make any differences:

    1. Check Account Type:
      • Ensure your email account is set up as an Exchange account, not IMAP or POP. Go to Settings > Accounts > Exchange and tap your email address. If it's listed as IMAP or POP, remove the account and re-add it as an Exchange account.
    2. Enable Calendar Sync:
      • Go to Settings > Accounts > Exchange and make sure the "Sync Calendar" option is enabled. If it's grayed out, it might be due to the account type or permissions.
    3. Reset Account:
      • In the Outlook app, go to Settings, tap the account that is not syncing, and select Reset Account. This can help refresh the connection.
    4. Re-add Account:
      • If resetting the account doesn't work, try removing and re-adding your account. Go to Settings > Accounts, select the account, and tap Delete Account. Then re-add your account and ensure it's set up as an Exchange account.
    5. Check Permissions:
      • Ensure Outlook has the necessary permissions to access your calendar. Go to Settings > Apps > Outlook and make sure Contacts and Calendar are enabled.
    6. Update App and Device:
      • Make sure both your Outlook app and your device's operating system are up to date. Sometimes, updates can resolve syncing issues.
    7. Reinstall the App:
      • If the calendar is still not syncing, try reinstalling the app and check if it fixes the issue.

Note: Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Please feel free to share it with us and we will stick with you.

Hope you all the best and looking forward to your new updates!

    Sincerely,

    Alex | Microsoft Community Moderator.
