Sensor deaktivieren - Sensor disable

OS Windows7 Ultimate German with display language English. Quite often when I try to install software in English it does not allow me choose the installation language because my location is identified Switzerland - German. Just recently tried to install iTunes in English but the result that when trying to download from Apple.com it comes directly recognised with Switzerland (German). Installation was only possible in German with changing the language afterwards. Which creates a mixed salad..part German part English. The same for Safari 4...installation English possible but with all settings for Germany ..yahoo.de, google.de, etc ..also here the worst that Favorites are called Beliebt...mixed salad again.  Even though I am located in Switzerland I would like to get the English (US) versions of the program. In most cases installation was at the end successful except for Apple products!

After a call to tech support of Microsoft I was told that there are no sensors or something like this in the OS. Well a quick search with sensor gave me the following ...no sensor installed but sensor enabled .. I am pretty sure that this comes from the gadgets but I need to deactivate but I have no clue where....anybody has any idea how to get rid of this ? The instructions on Windows help do not work for me.

Change to country and timezone does not help at all. US IP through VPN also no result! The settings of my location are somewhere in the OS and need to be deactivated or set to US then I would not care.

Sprachmischmasch scheint ja bei dir an der Tagesordnung zu sein. Wir sind hier im deutschsprachigen Forum. ;-)

Gehe testweise auf Google Maps oder Bing Maps und auch dort wird man dir mehr oder weniger genau sagen können, wo du gerade bist. Das Stichwort ist "IP Geolocation" und hat absolut nichts mit deinem PC zu tun. Du hast eine IP von deinem Provider. Dessen Einwahlknoten ist bekannt, damit wirst du zugeordnet. Und diverse Webseiten leiten dich damit auf die "richtige" Seite.

Dass es über eine VPN Verbindung mit US IP ebenfalls nicht klappt, kann ansonsten auch noch daran liegen, dass es zusätzlich zu den Spracheinstellungen im System selber auch im Browser noch eine Liste der gewünschten bzw. bevorzugten Sprachen gibt.

Über "Sensors" kann z.B. ein möglicherweise vorhandener GPS Empfänger angesteuert werden - dies passiert aber im IE meines Wissens bisher gar nicht und z.B. Firefox fragt vorher ausdrücklich, ob dies gewünscht ist.
