Hi Jonas
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Regarding your issue, Immersive Reader is integrated into modern SharePoint pages and news posts. When you have text web parts on these pages, SharePoint automatically displays an Immersive Reader button in the page command bar so there are no extra setup or custom button needed.
Important notes:
- The button only shows up on modern pages with text content (text web parts).
- You can enable it by going to your SharePoint page > Select Edit
-
Select Text > Add your text > Republish
- It doesn’t appear on home pages or classic pages.
- There’s no supported URL or parameter you can use to launch Immersive Reader directly from a custom button.
- If you want users to experience Immersive Reader on content, just ensure your page is modern and contains text web parts.
- If the Immersive Reader button isn’t visible, double-check that your page is modern and includes text web parts. There’s no official way to create your own button that triggers Immersive Reader via a URL on SharePoint.
Hope that clears things up, if you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
