Get started with Silverlight

Getting started with Silverlight, Silverlight 5.0 has just come out and it is way COOL!

Now I am the first one to complain about the use of older tutorials, but sometimes they still work, and in the case of Joel Neubeck’s tutorial this is a good one:

Since the technology was current in 2008, there are the occasional item that requires a little research:

  • Module 1: Getting Started – Architecture/framework
  • Module 2: Movement and collision detection
  • Module 3: Design – Sprites, boards and dialogs
  • Module 4: Animations and sound
  • Module 5: Initialization and Deployment
  • Module 6: Advanced Topics (Physics, Multiplayer, Optimization)

Take a look at this excellent tutorial, and I have checked the code with Module 1 through 3 which works, but has a few errors, but I am certain that there would need to be an update for the Silverlight 2 based code.
