Who knew? They need a better publicist :)
I've never seen them on campus, but now I am going to be on the lookout!
I took piano as a kid (and had my instructor convinced, for a while, that I could read music) and briefly attempted the clarinet. My failure has given me a real appreciation for the talents of people that can make music.

It's amazing how many musician's work at Microsoft. Once a year I send out a call for jazz musicians to perform as part of the Day of Caring. I usually get 11 - 13 musicians sign up. I hand out the music and two practices later we are gigging. Many of these folks are professional musicians who came to Microsoft because it was nice to eat on a regular basis. :o)Anonymous

I think that programmers and musicians have a lot in common. When I did tech recruiting, it was always a good sign if someone had something music related on their resume. Wine-Oh, I heard it was cow bell.Anonymous

MS does have a classic orchestra which boasts over 60 members. It meets every Monday night from 7 to 9 in the cafe of building 34, except during summer.
