Ok, I did it! I am giving https://twitter.com a try. From what I have seen so far, it reminds me the most of my good old IRC days; a kind of disconnected version anyways.

  I've been resisting the clarion call of the Twitter enthusists. There is only so many hours in a day after all and some of it has to be spent on work that I get paid for.  ;o)

  I agree, the good thing is that it does not take a lot of time to answer the question "What are you doing now" a couple a times a day. I must say that so far I am liking it.
