In Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 sind die im Code-Generator und Codecompiler zur Verfügung gestellten Methoden direkt im Codeanbieter verfügbar. Sie müssen CreateGenerator oder CreateCompiler nicht aufrufen, um auf die Methoden zuzugreifen. Diese Methoden werden als veraltet markiert. Dies gilt sowohl für bereits vorhandene als auch für neue Codeanbieterimplementierungen.
Eine CodeDomProvider-Implementierung stellt normalerweise Schnittstellen für die Erstellung und/oder Kompilierung von Code bereit, mit denen für eine einzelne Programmiersprache Code erstellt und die Kompilierung verwaltet werden kann. Die CodeDomProvider-Implementierungen, die im Lieferumfang von .NET Framework SDK enthalten sind, unterstützen mehrere Sprachen. Zu diesen Sprachen gehören C#, Visual Basic, C++, J# und JScript. Die CodeDomProvider-Klasse stellt statische Methoden bereit, um die CodeDomProvider-Implementierungen auf einem Computer zu ermitteln und aufzulisten. Die GetAllCompilerInfo-Methode gibt die Einstellungen für alle CodeDomProvider-Implementierungen auf einem Computer zurück. Hinweise für Erben In den Versionen 1.0 und 1.1 von .NET Framework bestehen Codeanbieter aus Implementierungen von CodeDomProvider, ICodeGenerator, ICodeParser und ICodeCompiler. In sind die Methoden CreateGenerator, CreateParser und CreateCompiler veraltet. Die Methoden von ICodeGenerator und ICodeCompiler stehen direkt in der CodeDomProvider-Klasse zur Verfügung. Sie sollten diese Methoden in der Codeanbieterimplementierung überschreiben und die Basismethoden nicht aufrufen.
