Map Object Types
For this procedure, in Management Agent Designer, on the Map Object Types page, you specify a relationship (that is, a mapping) between the template input file object class (including hierarchy, if present) and an object type. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the FIMSyncAdmins security group.
To map object types
In Management Agent Designer, on the Map object types page, in Object class, click the object class that you want to map to an object type.
In Object type column, in the same row as the object class that you want to map, click an object type.
If the object class that you want to map to is not listed, click New, and, in the New Object Class dialog box, type the object class name.
Note
Management Agent Designer automatically detects the objectClass attribute for Directory Services Markup Language (DSML) and LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF) file formats. To automatically detect and map an object class for fixed-width, delimited, or attribute-value pair file formats, you must select an attribute with the Object class attribute option (that is, on the Configure Attributes page, in Advanced, and then in Define object class).
Note
If an object class does not exist in the template input file, but it does exist in an custom data input file, use New Object Class to create a new object class, and then map it to an object type.
