Phase 9: Deprecate Servers

Letztes Änderungsdatum des Themas: 2009-07-01

As you move users from a pool, you can deactivate and remove the Live Communications Server Front End Servers on the pool. After you have moved the last user from the pool, you can also remove the databases from the Back-End Database Server. As other server roles are removed from service, you can deactivate and remove the Live Communications Server 2005 software. For details, see Starting and Stopping Services and Deactivating Server Roles in the Administering Office Communications Server 2007 R2 documentation and “Deprecate Your Live Communications Server 2005 SP1 Servers” at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=148538.

For details about the user experience during this phase, see User experience during Phase 9 of Migration.
